To all the dads who have carried us through the tough times and the good times, 

 Who have lifted our spirits through an encouraging word and a smile,

 Who have held us close and savored each moment together,

 Who have embraced us and accepted us no matter what the situation, 

 Who have spent countless hours teaching us and cultivating our hearts, 

  Who are there for us to lean on and provide a strong shoulder to cry on,

  Who raise us with a gentle hand and a warm heart,

 Who guide our steps and support our brave adventures, 

 Who pull us along life's journey when we cannot do it alone, 

 Who slow down and read, even though life is calling you in so many directions, 

To the granddads who are fathering all over again and leading as examples to those around them.
